Supportive Policies
Legislative Outreach and Education Program
Shifting our current ‘take-make-dispose’ economy to a circular one, where waste is reduced in the design of products, buying habits are changed, and valuable products are recovered, recycled, and reused in the economy at their highest value for as long possible, will require new laws and regulations across the Great Lakes region and federally.
This project was developed to help increase the knowledge of regional legislators and government officials when it comes to sustainable materials management and circular economy principles so they can make more informed policy and investment choices in forging a future without plastic waste and pollution in the region.
